Television and films

What television series or films have you watched that include elements of transmedia storytelling? Do you think this approach to engaging with audiences is successful? Have you become more involved with a particular television series, film or set of related films because of the content supplied in other media forms?

a). Harry Potter, Twilight, Star wars, The Hunger Games, Vampire Diaries, Silent Hill(game), Game of Thrones, Fifty shades of Grey, 3 little pigs, 2 states.

b). Yes, definitely it’s a successful way to engage with the audience, especially nowadays, we have so many fans creating “fan fiction” pages and videos on social media like Facebook and YouTube and they share more information about the tv series or movies and the audience can thus participate by commenting and sharing their views online. So many fan fiction videos are being created on YouTube very often where fans produce videos upon different characters or even stories on their favourite characters or even love stories of certain characters.

(c). Yes I have personally become more involved with a particular television series due to the cross telling and different content of the series. The series of book and episodes of the series are far more different which makes me even more curious to watch the series or read the books about it.
